The approach shot sets up the tee shot. A birdie is possible on this short par four, but the approach must be played softly through the air to the elevated putting surface. Therefore, the player must decide what distance of approach they desire and execute the corresponding tee shot distance. The right side of the fairway yields the best angle of approach to the putting surface. The putting surface is gently contoured and slightly sloped.
