This is a hole of natural beauty and great challenge. The tee shot is played through an alley of trees to a fairway that gently swings to the right. A tee shot played to the left side of the fairway will give the best angle of approach to the putting surface. The approach shot is played to a gently contoured putting surface over a sprawling bunker fronting the green. Distance control is paramount for the approach as the shot must land just over the bunker. Shots that go long, left or right will result in a difficult recovery. A poorly struck approach played directly to the putting surface will result in what is arguably the most difficult play in golf, the long bunker shot.
